Show Notes

Mac Software Business (Year 1)

In this four part spin-off series, Mac Software Business: Year One, we'll cover the life of three new Mac indie startups, with one seasoned veteran provided for good measure. Our fourth and final episode is about taking it to the next level: becoming successful enough to develop our software full time.

Some of the things that we talked about in this episode:

  • What choices did our panelists make that had the biggest impact on their ability to go indie?
  • How did they pass the inflection point where you have too much work for a day job and not enough income to go indie?
  • What are some of the biggest surprises that this group encountered as indie developers? How different is it from what they expected?
  • Is there anything that these guys would change about how they got where they are? What were some of their biggest mistakes?
  • What are some problems that they encountered as they got bigger?
  • What is the most important thing that this panel has learned since the first podcast?
Picks

Finally, a big thank you to the panel and to all of our listeners!
